Ya, these little receivers aren't always super clear as to what each set of pins does and which orientation the pins go. Definitely don't want to burn out a receiver on accident.

On that receiver, you will see 5 sets of 3 pins. One is for the signal, one for positive, and one for negative. Each of those sets represents one of the 4 channels.
