S-Tee mod for symmetrical wing
S-Tee mod for symmetrical wing
My intent is to transform an S-Tee kit from relaxing park flyer into a pattern/stunt plane by replacing the standard flat bottomed wing with a zero-dihedral fully symmetrical wing designed and produced by Doug Hart at my request specifically for this experiment. I may also try enlarging the control surfaces to enhance 3d flying characteristics. Here's how that turned out. Thanks, Doug, for the custom cut.

Now to the fuselage modification. The Hummer wing has significantly less chord than the stock flat bottomed S-Tee wing. Doug said S-Tees tend to be tail heavy anyway so I should mount the Hummer wing at the BACK of the S-Tee wing saddle to help with balance. Therefore, here are my fuse mods for the symmetrical wing.

And here she is. The smaller chord Hummer wing is set at the rear of the existing wing saddle to achieve balance and it's STILL a bit nose heavy but once I get her trimmed out, she should be a fun flyer.
